**Cubes 14**

**Triangular Blocks 6**

**26cm²**

Area covered in paint if all 6 cubes are dipped in paint is W*L*D = (1*1*1) * 6 sides * 6 cubes = 36

However, there are 10 covered faces. (remember to count those back to back faces as 2). So in total, 10cm²

**a) 12**

Area of a cube is 3 x 2 x 2 = 12 (L x H x D)

**b) 84**

6 x 4 x 4 = 96. Less what was used by Tilly = 84

**Side = E**

**Plan = F**

**Front = C**

**24**

Cube initially starts with 6 faces.

If a 1cm cube is cut from each corner, this creates 3 additional faces on each corner. So an additional 18 faces

The key here is imagine. And this requires imagination as to how the shape will change

These types of questions are good practice for Non Verbal Reasoning and particularly cube related shape questions which are common.
